Job Description: Critical Care Physician coverage - 7a-7p Critical Care Physician night call - 7p-7a 12hr APC coverage - 7p-7a Intensivist to perform all ICU procedures Hospitalist in house 24/7 to assist with admissions & rounding in the ICU 12 bed ICU 12 bed CCU Patient census: 10 1-2 admissions at night ED runs codes Cerner EMR Requirements: California Medical License DEA License with California registration Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care/Pulmonary Critical Care Current ACLS certification required (if not Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine or Critical Care Medicine) About the Community: Glendale Memorial Hospital is located in Glendale, California. Approximately a thirty minute drive from downtown Los Angeles & about forty five minutes to an hour from LAX airport. The hospital was established in 1926 and is fully accredited by the Joint Commission. The facility serves the greater Glendale, CA area. Compensation: Physicians are independent contractors and are given base rates with the opportunity to earn productivity pay at specific sites. VEP provides independent contractors with flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a shareholder after 150 hours worked which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company. Shareholders have the option of participating in VEP's 401(k) plan and short-term & long-term disability plans. |
